# Create account

vSelf provides the opportunity to claim a NEAR account through our web application using [linkdrop](https://github.com/near/near-linkdrop).  Users can choose an account name and create a new NEAR account on the [Onboard page](https://vself.app/onboard).

Onboarding is free for our users and is subsidised by vSelf.
